Tara Marie Schultz, JD

Ms. Schultz provides the highest quality of legal services to her clients by assessing the needs of each individual client and understanding their ultimate goals. She works with each client to help them explore the options that are available to them and to implement a plan to help achieve their goals. Whether representing criminal defendants, standing by clients through a lawsuit or aiding families with domestic issues such as divorce or custody, Tara works with compassion, always with the best interests of her clients in mind.

Since being sworn in as a member of the South Carolina Bar, Tara has served indigent defendants by holding the positions of Assistant and Deputy Public Defender for Greenwood and Abbeville Counties and Assistant Public Defender for Charleston County. Through this experience, she has sharpened her litigation and negotiation skills while striving to meet the needs of her clients.

Tara was born in Wantagh, New York, where she lived until her family relocated to Kernersville, North Carolina in 1993. After graduating from East Forsyth High School, she attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Tara completed her Bachelor of Arts with majors in Criminal Justice and Political Science and graduated with University Honors. She obtained her law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Tara recently moved to Rock Hill and enjoys all the amenities this area has to offer. She looks forward to becoming involved in the community.
