Julia is a member of Wealth Counsel (a nationwide collaboration of trust and estate attorneys and other legal, tax and business professionals), the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Foundation for Personal Financial Education. Julia’s continuing education and collegial involvement ensures the most sophisticated planning techniques are always available to the firm's clients.
 
Julia frequently speaks to private groups about a variety of different topics concerning Estate Planning, including family protection planning, wealth preservation, and elder law. She also presents for the Foundation for Personal Financial Education, a non-profit organization of experienced professionals who donate their time to educate government agencies, businesses, professional groups and trade organizations.
 
Julia is a graduate of the College of Charleston, where she earned her Bachelor of Science. She later obtained her Masters of Social Work from the University of South Carolina. Prior to entering the legal field, Julia was employed as a Corporate Trainer and worked in Risk Management for a National Human Services Corporation, Mentor, where she did extensive traveling throughout the United States. After working for six years, she attended law school at the University of South Carolina School of Law and received a Masters in Laws (Taxation) from Villanova University School of Law.
 
As the Firm's founder, Julia holds the highest standard of client services, scholarship and lawyer accessibility. Julia serves the Firm's clients by first listening closely to their goals, dreams and concerns. She then works with them to develop superior plans that reflect her clients' own unique situations. Julia is committed to helping her clients understand that the foundation of estate planning is not just saving tax dollars, but also appreciating the value of planning for themselves and their loved ones

Julia donates her time to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Hospice and the Lunch Buddy Program. She was born in Cheraw, South Carolina, raised in Brookneal, Virginia and now enjoys living in Rock Hill, South Carolina with her husband, Ben Khaled.
